When I say "diet" I do not mean a quick weight loss strategic, I am referring to a daily eating pattern. A healthy diet and exercise will help me train for this race. This is not a weight loss strategy, but more of a lifestyle change. Therefore, I'm limiting myself to fast food twice a month or in emergency situations and limiting my fried food and red meat to twice a week.
Realistically, I love all types of food, but if I want to run this race, I can't let a mass of unhealthy food weigh me down (literally). :-)
I 100% agree. I decided to take advantage of this training and use it to aid in losing weight as well. And it is definitely a life style change versus a diet. Grocery shopping, planning meals and cooking for the week are adjustments I've had to make but hey I lost 8 pounds in a week so I guess its worth it :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I'm hoping to do the same! I got these new running shoes and I believe psychologically they make running easier. I work my uppser ody out on my Wii (don't judge me)-- I'm telling you, Wii Sports is gonna be the reason my arms/abs are defined!
